Organoid® surfaces seamlessly merge the aesthetics and benefits of natural materials with functional interior design, all in a sustainable manner. The natural surfaces are available in various unique designs and applied to different natural backing materials extending the design flexibility of the surfaces. They are suitable for many decorating uses: as wallpapers, decorative veneers in combination with wood, and acoustic elements.

Ethically sourcing organic renewable materials, Organoid select natural materials such as Alpine hay, lavender, flower petals and herbs to name a few. Due to the gentle production process, the properties of the natural materials are largely preserved. The surface is untreated and thus all properties in terms of look, fragrance and feel are retained.  Organoid natural surfaces are pure sensory pleasures for people – you can see, feel and smell them.

The aroma of natural hay not only enhances the indoor climate but also contributes to a biophilic design that promotes well-being and reduces stress. These natural surfaces have a positive influence on the overall interior atmosphere, invoking a sense of harmony and fostering positive emotion.

Organoid sources the finest alpine hay and flower petals directly from local farmers and suppliers situated in the Kaunergrat Nature Park in Austria. Harvesting once a year this annual process takes place in August, involving meticulous mowing and manual harvesting due to the steep terrain. This not only ensures the high quality of the materials but also contributes to the maintenance of the mountain meadows, playing a crucial role in reducing the risk of winter avalanches.

Organoid Natural Surfaces also store CO2, with one tonne of dried hay storing around 1,500kg of carbon dioxide. Organoid products can therefore not only be described as climate-neutral, but even as climate positive.
